The Counselor must demonstrate competence in providing effective interventions to a culturally diverse young population. Provide trauma-informed counseling, crisis intervention, and emotional support to students who report experiences of gender-based violence or discrimination. Offer students clear, sensitive, and timely information regarding on-campus and off-campus resources, reporting processes, and available supportive measures. Coordinate and document referrals to internal and external services—such as medical care, mental health treatment, legal assistance, community agencies—and ensure appropriate follow-up. May facilitate educational programming or training for faculty, staff, or student groups on issues related to gender-based violence, trauma, and available campus resources (as assigned). Maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with legal guidelines, ethical counseling standards, and institutional policies. - - MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - - Bachelor's Degree required. - - OTHER QUALIFICATIONS - - - - Preferred qualifications: - - FETI Certification: Forensic Experiential Trauma Interview (FETI) training.
