The base pay scale for this position is $26.65 - $40.87. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Wellness Center Coordinator is responsible for overseeing on-site operations and employee experience within the Wellness Center. This role ensures smooth day-to-day execution of programming, recovery services, scheduling, and facility flow.
The Coordinator plays a highly visible role in ensuring employees receive a professional, organized, and engaging wellness experience. This position also supports The Office of Wellness & Resiliency related initiatives through coordination with wellness vendors and partners, communication and promotional support, scheduling, utilization tracking, and employee engagement efforts.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; minimum High School Diploma required
- 2-4 years of experience in fitness, wellness, fitness, or customer-facing operations preferred
- Fitness, wellness, or performance-based background strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and manage a fast-paced environment
- Experience in healthcare or corporate wellness settings preferred
- Experience supporting communications, employee engagement initiatives, or promotional efforts preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining strong operational accountability
- A positive personality with a passion for assisting others in achieving their goals
- CPR/AED certification required
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily Operations
- Serve as the primary on-site operational lead during assigned shifts
- Open and close the Wellness Center according to operational procedures
- Ensure all wellness and recovery spaces are clean, organized, and fully operational
- Monitor scheduling and utilization of fitness classes, recovery services, hyperbaric sessions, and wellness and departmental retreats
- Coordinate room setups, transitions, and operational readiness between programming sessions
- Assist with staffing coordination and communication with instructors and vendors
- Support operational tasks, wellness initiatives, and special projects as assigned
Member Experience
- Greet and assist employees, visitors, wellness participants, and vendors
- Provide orientation to wellness center spaces, services, equipment, and wellness offerings
- Support class check-in, participant flow, and customer service needs
- Address operational issues and escalate concerns appropriately
- Help maintain a welcoming, high-energy, hospitality-focused environment
- Support a seamless wellness experience for employees throughout the facility
Program & Event Support
- Coordinate logistics and operational support for staff immersion experiences, workshops and wellness events and internal wellness initiatives
- Support instructors and facilitators during programs, classes, and events
- Assist with scheduling and communication related to wellness programming
- Support vendor coordination, operational communication, scheduling logistics, and follow-up needs
- Assisting with implementation and operational support for enterprise wellness initiatives
Equipment & Facility Oversight
- Conduct daily equipment and facility checks
- Ensure recovery tools and wellness technologies are functioning properly
- Coordinate maintenance requests and communicate operational needs
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of fitness and studio spaces, recovery areas, locker rooms, changing spaces, and wellness supplies/materials
Administrative & Office of Wellness & Resiliency Support
- Assist with scheduling systems, attendance tracking, participant registration and communication
- Maintain operational records, reporting, utilization tracking, and inventory support
- Support distribution of wellness communications, marketing material, and wellness resources
- Assist with employee outreach and initiatives, including tabling events and on-site wellness activities, designed to increase awareness, participation, and engagement across wellness offerings
- Assist in coordinating staffing coverage, instructor communication, and operational schedules as needed
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support Wellness Center Operations, the Office of Wellness & Resiliency initiatives, and enterprise wellness programming
