Overview The Senior Manager, E-Commerce Transportation & Special Projects leads e-commerce transportation execution across North America, supporting fulfillment by balancing cost, speed, capacity, and customer experience. Responsibilities Lead the evaluation and recommendation of e-commerce transportation carriers across the North America network, partnering with senior leadership on final selection and alignment Own data-driven recommendations for small parcel, postal, regional, and alternative delivery solutions to support service, capacity, and cost objectives Develop transportation analytics, pricing models, and financial forecasts to support carrier strategy, peak planning, IBP, and annual budgeting Provide executive-level reporting, forecasting, and savings validation for e-commerce transportation performance Partner with Logistics Finance to support freight payment audit processes, including rate compliance, dispute identification, and issue resolution Manage execution and performance of approved carrier strategies, ensuring service reliability, capacity readiness, and contract adherence Conduct regular business reviews with carrier partners focused on service performance, cost trends, and transportation optimization opportunities Act as an escalation point for critical e-commerce transportation incidents and service disruptions requiring cross-functional coordination Collaborate with Logistics Systems to ensure effective use and enhancement of Transportation Management System capabilities Partner with Distribution Centers, Store Operations, Omnichannel Fulfillment, Customer Contact Centers, and carriers to support the demands of the business, including peak-season forecasting, launch planning, and execution readiness Support the evaluation and ongoing optimization of reverse logistics transportation solutions for e-commerce returns Maintain strong working relationships with Dick’s Sporting Goods to align on best practices, shared carrier partners, and joint optimization opportunities Lead transportation-related special projects, including budgeting initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional programs Provide coaching and day-to-day leadership for a small team supporting e-commerce transportation operations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience may be considered 7 years of transportation, logistics, or supply chain experience with a strong focus on e-commerce and small parcel transportation Retail and/or e-commerce distribution experience strongly preferred Skilled in transportation financial analysis, budgeting, carrier contract management, and freight invoice review or dispute support Strong experience managing carrier relationships and peak-driven transportation operations Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems and transportation analytics tools At Foot Locker, we value innovation, authenticity, and integrity in all that we do. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
