Manager - Quality & Patient Safety - Transplantation

We are seeking a charismatic, results-driven leader to drive hospital-wide performance as Manager for Quality and Patient Safety. In this high visibility role, the QPS Manager is expected to possess proficient knowledge of valid improvement methods, and regulatory and accreditation standards. The incumbent is expected to utilize the skills necessary to employ these methods and standards to support hospital teams in improvement work and facilitate change to ensure that quality, patient safety, regulatory and accreditation activities support the goals of the Hospital and meet external requirements for continuous accreditation.

This position is based out of our corporate office in Midtown Manhattan with possible travel to any of our NYP sites and will be full-time Monday to Friday.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master’s Degree
  • Experience in working collaboratively with clinical leadership
  • Knowledge of patient safety field and/or hospital flow and efficiency
  • Knowledgeable of performance improvement methods, HAC reduction work and quality measurement standards
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of experience in a healthcare related position, preferably in Quality and Performance Improvement
  • Comfort with public speaking and presentation to large groups
  • Project management experience
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission, CMS, and DOH requirements/standards and surveys
  • Strong creativity, communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excel, PowerPoint, Access Database skills
