    Position Overview:

    A. Duie Pyle’s Sales Development Program is an accelerated training program designed to prepare and develop future business development representatives. SDP will take you on a three month progression where you will learn about our Operations and Sales teams while developing a strong understanding of the transportation industry and our direct competitors.

    Your career will begin at the closest Pyle terminal to your home. Here, you will learn about freight handling and our LTL, less-than-truckload, business. Over the course of the next three months, you will gain valuable hands on experience working various shifts on our dock and riding along in our trucks. To sell our services successfully, you have to first understand how they work. Additionally, you’ll spend time in our corporate office engaging with and learning from our senior leadership.

    Nearing the completion of the program, you’ll receive your assigned territory within the Pyle network. Following your successful graduation, you’ll start putting your new acquired skills to work!

    The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

    • Shadowing Pyle leaders to develop leadership skills through on-the-job experiences, project assignments and formal training
    • Understanding “teamwork” &- learning how all team members and roles impacts the operation
    • Participating in classroom style learning to develop industry and company knowledge, and develop professional relationships with high level leadership
    • Learning sales strategies, techniques, and how to best market our service offerings to prospective and current customers

    To be qualified for this position, you must possess the following:

    • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) and or Associates Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
    • Prior sales and or marketing experience in an internship, part-time job, or full-time position
    • Excellent Communication &- both written and verbal
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment
    • Willingness to relocate within the Pyle network upon program completion
    • Possess a positive, can-do attitude
